Literally translated from German ‘Herzklopfen’ means a heart beat. However, in German it can be used to describe the normal beating of the heart or if you say you have ‘Herzklopfen’ it means you are experiencing fear, nervousness or even love.
I awoke in the morning to a dark sky and a killing tiredness at 6.20am. Today was my very first lecture at the university and though it is only a pre-course for Maths it was the first time going back to work! Everything was the first:
- first time alone using the subway in Munich
- first time taking the subway to the university
- first time being in the uni
- first lecture
- first time writing and working after 5 months!
Thankfully I found my way quite quickly from the station to the Audimax (main lecture hall of TUM) as most of the people walking to that one exit were headed to that lecture. The lecture hall was huge when I walked in and though I have mentally prepared myself for this moment, I still have ‘Herzklopfen’.

Good morning my lovely followers,
I just got up and finished breakfast, well rested and energized for the rest of the day. My mom decided to take me out today to hunt down my prom dress. I woke up today in my bed and realised for the first time that I had a normal dream. It was weird, but still normal. For the past couple days I have been waking up in the middle of the night, frantically thinking about a Math problem or going through the conditions and reagents of a certain mechanism for Organic Chemistry. It might sound funny now, but back then it was torture. I would go to bed my brain stuffed with formulae, charts and diagrams and would toss and turn for hours until I manage to slip into a light slumber. The slightest noise awoke me and everytime I would think back to the glimpse I had into my dream which definitely involved some Mathematics and Chemistry. These two subjects absolutely terrified me. Maths, because it’s Higher Level Maths and Chemistry because it was important to me and the exam is so difficult! Nonetheless, now that they are over with I look at the world in a much rosier way.
Today looks like a much brighter day and I have the feeling that nothing can really shatter this. Plus, today is my 19th with S. So the world is a big ball of happiness today. Haven’t felt this bouncy in a while so I hope this state of mind will last a bit!
I got my fingers crossed for those people who still have their worry-subjects coming up. Study hard!
It’s that day of the year where you can whip out your jokes, fake scenarios and funny texts to your friends. Some love it, some dread it.

I have been so lazy today as the weather is awfully grey and dull and stayed in bed for quite some time. S came up for a bit to keep me company and now that he has left I was just browsing the net and decided to check tumblr.
